Student government at Cleveland provides a forum
in which students can organize school-wide and class activities
while developing their leadership skills. Elections are held
in the Spring.
Class Cabinets
Each spring freshmen, sophomores, juniors
and seniors elect officers to represent their class the
following school year. Each class cabinet, advised by a
faculty member, is responsible for building its class treasury,
organizing activities, participating in every school-wide
event and sponsoring at least one community service project.
Typically, each class elects a President, Vice President,
Secretary, Treasurer and Publicity Representatives.
Executive Council
This organization is composed of the elected
student body officers led by the Student Body President.
They meet daily in the Leadership class that is comprised
of students who are class officers or who are invested in
the student activities program. This group sponsors annual
events such as Freshman Orientation, Homecoming, the hall
decorating contest, the winter semi-formal, the Red Cross
blood drive, and the canned food drive. These students also
plan assemblies and serve our community during Back-to-School
Night and Bridging
the Gap, the open house for eighth graders and their
parents.
