This FREE introduction to life beyond high school runs 1:30-3:30, Tuesday through Thursday of Spring Break. Call the NELA Center at 503.488.6000 for more information or to register for the program.

Juniors and seniors,the Oregon Health Career Center has a summer opportunity -the Health Careers Opportunity Program Summer Academy, a program that helps youth go to college and become healthcare professionals. You must have at least a 2.75 GPA, be a U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident and either qualify for the free/reduced lunch program or be afirst generation college-bound student and interested in pursuing a health career. Applications are online at www.ohcc.org and must be postmarked by 4/2/10.

Juniors:
Cleveland needs one junior student who will serve as the point person to help schedule appointments for Lifetouch senior portraits on 4/22. The portrait sittings will be here at Cleveland. The junior can earn huge discounts on senior pictures.

If you have a 3.5 GPA you are invited to learn more about the Portland State University Viking scholars program. You will attend a reception this spring and receive a $1000 scholarship once you enroll in Portland State. Let your counselor know by Tues. 3/16 if you are interested.

KICKBALL FOR HAITI! Meeting TODAY in room 277 for those interested in participating in a huge kickball tournament to be held 4/3. Please strategize your own teams. The minimum number of players per team is 12, maximum is 15. Come to the meeting at lunch TODAY to sign your team up for the tournament.

KICKBALL FOR HAITI! Lunch meeting Wed. 3/3 in room 277 for those interested in participating in a huge kickball tournament to be held 4/3. Please strategize your own teams. The minimum number of players per team is 12, maximum is 15. Come to the meeting at lunch on 3/3 to sign your team up for the tournament.

If you are age 14-18 and will be in high school in 2010-11, you may be eligible for summer employment through First Step Summer Youth Employment. Come to the main office for more information and an application.

New Scholarship! The Portland Chapter of Sons of Norway is offering three $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing post secondary education, and particularly those who have a connection to or interest in Scandinavian Heritage or culture. Deadline is Mon. 3/1 so hurry! Details are available on Naviance.
